...this is one of those ';urban legends'; that everyone has an answer to but no one really knows...





the case in question according to the legend is supposed to be carrying the soul of the hitmen's boss, Marcellus Wallace.





when u first are introduced to Marcellus -- you will notice a band-aide on the back of his head -- now remember the lock combination on the briefcase is 666... whenever anyone opened the case- they would be speechless how beautiful the contents were and how it would glow when opened....








that all pertains to a saying that the most beautiful thing about a person -- is his soul....





Marcellus was trying to buy back his soul from the devil....


now remember that when Jules and Vincent were shot at point blank range that not a one bullet touched them---





'; This was devine intervention ...'; one of them proclaims


'; God stopped the bullets ....';








This is the truth ----


Tarantino admitted that there is no real explanation as to exactly what was in the case..... He stated that they wanted it to be diamonds -- but that was too boring....


so they just decided to leave it to the audience and not tell anyone... {let them decide for themselves}


someone threw an orange bulb in the case for effect {to give it a special glow}
