Do Semi's carrying goods have tracking devices on them in case of them being HI-jacked? ?

If so where are they located? Do Semi's carrying goods have tracking devices on them in case of them being HI-jacked? ?
All of the major US trucking companies have satellite tracking in their trucks and some (US Xpress, Werner for example) are installing them on their trailers also. More and more shippers are starting to include their own tracking devices within the cargo itself. It is randomly placed in a box or within a skid in the trailer. So if it's a floor load of 5000 boxes, any one of those would have the tracker, or if there are 20-30 skids- same.

Hijacking a semi is a felony and the FBI does investigate and will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law in all cases of hijacking trucks or interstate commerce.Do Semi's carrying goods have tracking devices on them in case of them being HI-jacked? ?

most do anymore. some have them in the tractor and trailer. i hope this is because you are just wondering. most drivers will try to run you over before giving up their load. too many drivers wind up dead when they get jacked. my company told me to plow through anyone trying to get my truck. driver safety number one.
Most do and very few do not and they will not be hauling anything worth stealing anyway.
Some do and some do not, it depends on the company and what they are hauling..
Yeah, they do. You can buy one at an army surplus store.
