OCD is, by definition, a disorder in which people have particular obsessions and act on them in very specific ways. That is, someone is obsessed to the point of anxiety with germs or uncleanliness. To relieve this anxiety, even temporarily, the person will engage in ritualized processes such as handwashing. The disorder can range from mild to life-paralyzing, interfering in a person's ability to engage in everyday activities such as eating, sleeping, or working. Current estimates put prevalence in the US at about 1 in 40 people who will suffer from OCD during their lifetimes (7-8 million people), although I am unsure of more specific statistics i.e. how many are classified as 'severe'.Do people with OCD carry out their obsessions and are there any reported cases and how severe is OCD as a?
All persons with OCD must have some type of ritualistic behavior...generally fear based, routine based, anxiety generated...etc...ranges from mild to profound. mild is just a person that makes you go hmmmmmmmmm...profound is a person that makes u pull THEIR air out.

it can make u very neat or ';Monk-like';. Fairly easy to diagnose
