Is it illegal to have your gun inside a case in your vehicle with out a permit to carry it?

in the state of Texas. Is it illegal to have your gun inside a case in your vehicle with out a permit to carry it?
No, you are allowed to carry your gun in a case in your vehicle, if it is not readily accessible to you, for the purposes of transporting it to/from the range or the gun shop. You do not need a concealed carry permit for this activity in TX.Is it illegal to have your gun inside a case in your vehicle with out a permit to carry it?
Look up Texas law HB-823. this covers the transfer of a weapon in a POV, This is the law you must

become completely familar with. Google handgun transport law texas in a POV. this will give you

chap and verse. IF you have questions beyond that reading, call DPS Texas or any Ranger

station and they can give your the updates,
A concealed weapon permit is not required to carry a weapon inside a case in a vehicle.
