Helo, log book, is this the V5 registration or the owner manual that comes with plastic carry case?

It's the V5 document.

It used to be called the log book and old habits die hard.

Hello

Log Book is V5

Owners Manual is to tell owner about the controls on the car, I have a Vauxhall so mine is Dark Blue and Handy for keeping the Insurance, MOT and V5 in. The Case should also have a Security Information Card in it. It has the Key, Immobiliser and Radio Codes on it should you ever need them. I also keep the spare key in there so I know where it is.

It's the V5.

They're still called log books by the older generation. This comes from the days when it really was a book, and it listed all the past owners complete with addresses. The log book scheme was scrapped in the early 1970's.

See the link for a famous example, the Saints Volvo P1800S. Registered to Roger Moore.

And look in the top right corner for the excise duty. 拢25.00 for twelve months, robbery!
V5 Registration Document, you keep one small green bit when you buy the car/bike and the seller sends off the big bit. Within 4 weeks you should receive the new log book(V5) in the post in your name.
the logbook is referred to as the v5. the handbrake is also in the same folder. joke!!
